How does Interprefy work with Stova?

Interprefy has partnered up with Stova to offer real-time interpreting for multilingual virtual events held on their platform.

Summary

Interprefy's real-time communication solution connects multilingual audiences for any event held on Stova meeting and presentation platform in a few simple steps. By removing the need for on-site equipment and eliminating interpreters' travel costs, Interprefy supports global enterprises with secure, accurate language translation from anywhere.

How the solution works

When the event starts, Interprefy brings the live stream of your event on Stova into its Remote Simultaneous Interpreting (RSI) platform. Meanwhile, interpreters working on Interprefy's interpreter soft console are watching and listening to the speaker while translating in real-time. Their real-time interpretation of the speech is then streamed to the Interprefy language selector widget on the Stova platform.

How it works for event organisers and administrators

Request live translation from Interprefy for your upcoming multilingual event on Stova. Once Interprefy has scheduled your event,  the Interprefy widget code needs to be added into the session description (as below) within the Stova platform. This will then render the widget within the virtual environment.

To add the widget code go to the session (ensure it’s set to virtual), then within the session editor click the icon next to the session description box, select "Source", then paste in the widget code.

There's also a setting on the app page that has to be toggled on, this is located under:

Mobile App settings > Manage Content > Sync Settings > Import session/speaker description as html – and set this to ON as shown below.

The Interprefy team will then request an audience link from the event organiser and this will be used to capture the source audio and video as required from the live event.

How your attendees access live audio translation

Your attendees join the session on Stova and select their preferred audio language from the embedded Interprefy widget. Alternatively, they can download the Interprefy app and enter the login token provided by the event organizer.

An interpreter will deliver all spoken content in the language selected by the attendee. All the attendee needs to do is mute the audio output on the video player and listen to the interpretation in real-time, while all visual content appears on the event interface.
